Okay, let’s roll back to a few months, say February, when everyone was all ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ about Bill Belichick’s appearance on this season of HBO’s Hard Knocks. The docu-series takes every football fanatic on a journey of a National Football League team through its training camp and how the team prepares for its upcoming season. Ring a bell? Yeah, the same show would have taken us through Bill’s on-field shenanigans as he coached his first-ever UNC team. But guess what? The deal fell apart 3 days later as Bill’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, allegedly wanted to be heavily involved in the project. As reported by multiple sources.

And now, Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend, is once again going viral. Why? This time, she interrupted a CBS Sunday Morning segment when Bill Belichick was asked a personal question about how they met. She interjected, saying, “We are not talking about that.” This moment quickly went viral, with backlash from fans.  Despite Hudson’s protest, the interview moved forward with Tony Dokoupil asking, “You have Jordon right over there. Everybody in the world seems to be following this relationship. They’ve got an opinion about your private life. It’s got nothing to do with them, but they’re invested in it. How do you deal with that?”

Belichick calmly responded, “Never been too worried about what everybody else thinks. Just try to do what I feel like is best for me and what’s right.” Even though he provided a level-headed answer, the alarm bells have already rung off. Fans have since then described Jordon’s behaviour as controlling. As one even advised, “Run, Bill, Run.”

Now, during an episode of the Dudes on Dudes Podcast, Fox analyst Rob Gronkowski had a few words about this whole incident as he told his co-host Julian Edelman. “People are giving an unfair reality of what’s going on. She was jumping into that conversation in the interview. Just like any PR person would jump in when there is any unnecessary question that probably didn’t go over the pre-production meeting.” Gronk doubled down, saying Hudson wasn’t just being protective—she was handling business. However, fans were quick to push back against Gronkowski’s view, arguing that she wasn’t the one being interviewed; Bill Belichick was. She didn’t need to be rude to the interviewer. One even commented, “Wow, almost 50 years his junior telling him what to do on camera. That’s really something.” The debate has now shifted from a single media moment to the bigger question of who’s calling the shots behind the scenes.

Reports indicate that Hudson has taken on a prominent role in managing Bill Belichick’s operations, handling publicity, and overseeing media engagements. No official employment or contract with the University of North Carolina has confirmed her position of authority. It’s up to fans to speculate on the true extent of her powers as the “supposed PR representative” of the New England Patriots’ head coach. Many are saying that she is pulling the strings off-camera.

Hudson, a former cheerleader from Bridgewater State University, has caught heat as fans catch a glimpse of her true colors. In what appeared to be an effort to divert focus from the interview controversy, Jordon posted a screenshot of an email Belichick sent her, stating, “I don’t think this is fantastic, but it will probably hype the book, which is clearly the ongoing theme here.” Bill Belichick is promoting his upcoming book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, which releases on May 6, 2025. In the same email, Belichick also mentioned that “interviews and podcasts” will definitely drive up the sales of the book.

Jordon also posted an Instagram story referencing an old post with the caption “Happy Meetiversary.” She appears to be aware of the criticism surrounding the couple, as indicated by her caption, “LoveIsNotLogical.” Fans have called the situation bizarre and are waiting for a full statement, as hinted at in Jordon’s Instagram caption, “Full statement to be released later today.” While public reaction remains divided, their social media presence paints a very different picture—one of romance.

The couple reportedly met on a flight in 2021 and were seen attending events together in early 2023. Hudson often shares personal moments of the two on Instagram. In one post, she was even dressed as a mermaid while Belichick fished her out of the sea. It received over 8,000 likes, with Belichick commenting, “My biggest catch!!!” She also shared a birthday post for Bill Belichick’s 73rd, captioned, “Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my twin flame.” The couple does seem to be living a life of bliss if fans are to believe the Instagram posts. 

Despite never being a fan favorite, the question remains. Should Hudson face this backlash just for interrupting a line of questioning? Fans are not letting go, filling her comments section of both past and present posts with the same jab, “So how did you and Bill meet?”
