Going back to the start of this season, when Kelce was going through a slow start. Fans were quick to criticize his burgeoning relationship with Swift for Kelce’s lack of output on the field. Jumping into his defense, Jason expressed, “Football has always been the most important thing in Trav’s life. He has always lived his life to the fullest. He has enjoyed his off-seasons very much even before Taylor Swift and everything else that was going on our lives.”

While defending his brother from criticism, the 36-year-old reiterated Travis Kelce’s priority, “He is always going to find a way to make football the number one priority.” Although Jason has been a staunch supporter of Kelce and Swift, his reaction to fans’ offensive slur may have come for a different reason.

Jason Kelce left red-faced after his controversial comments on NFL kickers

Kelce was given a rude awakening for the comments he made on NFL kickers, “We need to narrow these field goal posts. It’s too easy to kick field goals now. We gotta go to rugby goalposts. Kickers should not be influencing football games as much as they are right now. We need to make kickers way less valuable. That is not what football is about. We need to get specialists out of the NFL.” Hearing those comments, former Colts punter Pat McAfee invited him to a $100,000 kicking contest.

But wearing his Timberland boots, Kelce’s brother punted his effort wide of the posts. He even received a second opportunity to clear his stance on NFL kickers. Even this time, Jason didn’t manage to score the field goal. This eventually led to the 36-year-old confessing, “I suck at kicking.” Although he could blame his boots for the lack of accuracy shown when kicking the football. Seeing his skills, we now understand why Kelce played center throughout his NFL career.

While his Penn State visit may not have gone down well for Travis Kelce’s brother. He did retaliate against fans who were busy calling out his brother’s love life, thereby showing his lack of tolerance when it comes to something related to his family.
