Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady is a blessing for some while a curse for others. While Netflix garnered a whopping 13.8 million views from the roast, Tom Brady has to reframe his relationships with close ones. It went to the point that the retired NFL star later revealed his regret to Fred Taylor on The Pivot Podcast, making amends to those he offended through the roast.

I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way that affected my kids,” Tom Brady told Taylor. Perhaps he realized a little too late how roasts on his personal life can affect those prominent people in his life including his kids and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen with whom he divorced in 2022. But after expressing his regret, he made the incident a “good lesson for [him] as a parent.” He said, “It makes you a better parent going through it. Again, sometimes you’re naive. Sometimes you don’t know.” But he has some critics pointing swords at his decision.

NFL on NBC slams Tom Brady’s participation in Netflix roast

Mike Florio and Chris Simms aren’t holding their raw opinions back in a YouTube episode on the NFL on NBC as they discussed Tom Brady’s decision to be featured in the roast. Florio slammed Brady’s decision saying, “It’s not that he’s being naive. It’s he’s self-centered. He’s the center of his own universe and everyone else’s… He doesn’t consider how the things he wants to do are going to affect those closest to him.” Chris Simms put his own weight into the matter saying, “It’s like he’s going through a midlife crisis.”

Simms stated how he was surprised at seeing Tom Brady change from a football star to a limelight hog. He said of the roast, “That thing on Netflix is so beneath him. He is so much more of a star than having to do that.”

Florio also added that while he’s the NFL GOAT, there are things in life that he isn’t well equipped to handle. Citing his FTX failure, he said, “Just because he’s a good football player doesn’t mean he’s smart.” With his appearance at Kia Forum, he might have experienced something new but the damage has been done to close ones.

Tom Brady feels remorseful for his deed

It’s the hardest part, the bittersweet aspect, of when you do something that you think is one way and all of sudden you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again,’ because of the way that it affected actually the people that I care about most in the world.” Picture Tom Brady during the roast. That was exactly what he must have been thinking as he sat there listening to Kevin Hart roasting him on accounts of Gisele Bündchen and her new partner Joaquim Valente with unsuitable roasts for kids to hear.

Although Brady’s kids weren’t the subject of the Sunday night roast, the roast affected their confidence. Bündchen reportedly expressed that she was “offended” and “deeply disappointed” by the “irresponsible” jokes that were made at her expense. So Brady reportedly apologized to her after the event. Parenting is always learning from your mistakes after making wild unsuccessful lunges.

Fans can be hopeful to see Tom Brady not repeating this kind of blunder. Or could he unretire from his commitment again? We never know. Follow for more updates!
