The duo during one of their talk shows, NightCap recalled how one of the leading WRs could’ve bagged $200 million! The WR in question could’ve entered history books with the record contract, had one thing not taken place.

Sharpe was keeping a close eye on his friend’s narration and listening intently. It was what destiny had in store for the Ravens WR but was denied. Johnson also revealed the background story revolving around the loss of millions! It was not the usual hilarious story but rather an emotional one. That could have changed the trajectory of this Ravens’ player career. There were some serious issues at the place that prevented the players from becoming the highest-paid athletes in the league. Perhaps even in the world scheme of things had this one thing not taken place.

Chad Johnson reveals the $200 million bag lost from Odell Beckham Jr.

Chad Johnson was involved in another intriguing chat with Odell Beckham Jr. The once highly sought-after WR was now dealing with injuries. His greatness was to the extent that he was offered a record $200 million contract! Injuries were the thorn in the player’s path and he couldn’t become the greatest, unfortunately. Sharpe interjected with a certain disappointment- “Had he not gotten hurt originally”

It was a painful conversation as the former WR Chad shared how impressive was Odell in his prime. “Odell wants to be the Odell of the old!” Johnson continued- “Think about all the work he’s put in, to come back from not one but a second ACL. If Odell hadn’t been hurt, I believe Odell would’ve been the first receiver to have a $200 million deal!” It was a shocking revelation made by Johnson. As per Chad, injuries robbed and ate most of the WR’s career. And now he’s half the player he was before the injuries. Johnson shared in an interview earlier that the player possessed some great game awareness. “He was more than a football player. He’s got that extra dimension.” Since 2021, the WR had a different career path, one that involved loads of setbacks.

A closer look into Odell’s career debacle since 2021

Odell Beckham Jr. returned to his long-time side Browns in 2021. It was a comeback after suffering his serious knee injury. However, after the player’s father highlighted some shoddy tactics being used by the side. Odell was released from the side in November 2021.

Soon after, he found his calling at the Rams but was once again rocked by another injury. This time his other knee underwent an ACL tear. Many thought the player’s career was all but over. And his comeback this time would be rather difficult. Odell once again defied the odds and secured a contract with the Ravens in spring 2022.

Can the player replicate his performances from the first three years for the Ravens, or has he lost his Midas touch, only time will tell the answer.
