As the last dawn of 2023 is on its cusp, Tom Brady recollects his best memories from the year. Be it his $37.5 million lucrative deal with ESPN, or his ‘mediocre’ comment garnering worldwide criticism, Brady had a roller-coaster of a year. It was only fair that he ended his year with another incident/regret that he harbored all along.

Seeing Brady play was the ultimate feeling for his fans. That, along with his unadulterated love for football prompted him to un-retire once. It was about to happen again in 2023, but his friends put a halt to it.

Brady made a shocking revelation regarding this on his Instagram. Amidst various emotional pictures and lines dedicated to the years of 2023, the former QB commented with subtle humor, “PS: The only downside to 2023 was when I was about to unretire in May and my friends threw a surprise retirement party. Kind of forced my hand.” As expected, fans went bonkers and flooded his comment section, requesting him to un-retire and come back.

As that remains another possibility for 2024, Brady embraces the new year with open arms, requesting his fans to spend all the time they can with their family and friends, reflecting how dedicated a family man he is at his core. “Hug your kids, call your parents, tell your friends that you love them, and let’s all help make 2024 a kinder and happier year for everyone in our lives,” were the well-wishes of the NFL icon as he reminisced how big of a roller coaster 2023 was for him.

Family has always been Brady’s No. 1 priority

Despite everything, family, especially his kids have been Tom Brady’s top priority all along, be it post-retirement or 10 years before, when his career was at its peak. Rob Gronkowski, a fellow player of Brady recollected the days when Brady was 33, a father and married. “One of the best family man I’ve ever seen in my life,” was what Gronk thought of Brady when he was a 21-year-old in NFL.

“When I met him, he was a focused, great parent. So then obviously you don’t really hang out with the vets either,” said Gronkowski in one of his latest podcasts. His words were enough to signify Brady’s priorities then, while Brady’s ‘Happy Birthday’ posts for his kids as well as such a heartfelt message with warming pictures prove it now.
