It was a humiliating game for the Raiders at Ford Field on Monday night when the Lions crushed them 26-14. And Skip Bayless Just found a wonderful prospect to target for his next troll.

It was an unbelievable comeback from Jimmy Garoppolo, not because he delivered skills, but because it seems like his back injury left him fuzzled and slow. Fans at the game were fused with emotions as Jimmy G delivered his worst career performance against the Detroit Lions. While Patrick Mahomes delivered an equally underwhelming game, Skip Bayless took this opportunity to dig up the 2020 Super Bowl when Jimmy G met Patrick Mahomes.

Skip Bayless trolls Jimmy G for Super Bowl LIV performance 

Jimmy Garoppolo sank as one of the worst QBs this season after his return to the field following a back injury. Skip Bayless couldn’t hide his frustration, and given his skills, he trolls the Raiders starting QB of his Super Bowl game against Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. The 71-year-old commentator tweeted, “Patrick Mahomes is so lucky the opposing QB in his first Super Bowl was Jimmy G… Jimmy was so bad in that final quarter.”

Both Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo began as starting quarterbacks in 2017 for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, respectively. They met at their first Super Bowl in 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 31-20 epic comeback victory, earning the Super Bowl MVP title along the way. 

Jimmy Garoppolo led his team to a lead start before slacking off as the game progressed. He threw the first interception in the second quarter, committing the game’s first turnover. This gave Patrick Mahomes a chance to secure 28 yards by doing a deep pass along the sideline.

In the second half, Jimmy Garoppolo got sacked, leading to Williams securing the win with a 38-yard rushing touchdown. His last pass attempt was intercepted, giving Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs the glory of being the Super Bowl champions.

Jimmy Garoppolo’s poor performance in the last game

Skip Bayless described Jimmy G’s last performance against the Detroit Lions as “Just inconceivably pathetic.” In a dismal 26-14 loss against the Detroit Lions, Jimmy G only secured 126 yards and completed 10 of 21 passes. He neither secured a touchdown nor made any passes to a wide receiver in the first half.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes may have played equally badly in the last game against the Denver Broncos. But he still secured 242 yards with no touchdowns. Jimmy Garoppolo stated of the game, “You have good days and bad days. Today was a bad day, there’s no sugarcoating it. It is what it is. So, I’ve just got to play better. Myself, I have to play better. A bunch of little things that will solve a lot of problems.

As of the 2023 season, Jimmy Garoppolo stands at No. 30 with a QB rating of 35.2, 1205 yards, and 7 TDs. As for Patrick Mahomes, he sits in the 2nd place with a QB rating of 74.9, 2258 yards, and 15 TDs. Watch and see if Jimmy G will be able to tackle the New York Giants QB in their next game.
