Poking fun is all frolic and games, till it hurts. As Netflix prepares to serve its all-new The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, hot at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 5, presented live by the master-jester Kevin Hart, NFL fans and analysts alike wonder- what are the odds of the GOAT turning to GROAT?

The greatest roast of all time is aimed at the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, and it is going to be merciless, “No Helmets. No mercy. No Brady rule.” Even though Brady says, “no problem,” and claims to be “un-roastable,” his recent reaction on platform X to a teaser revealed by Netflix ahead of the show, stated otherwise.

Netflix recently released a short teaser promoting the upcoming live show, which featured an animated video showcasing Brady as we walked through flames, while Kevin Hart posed as the narrator. “The greatest roast of all time, Tom Brady, live, hosted by me, Kevin Hart, with a lineup of surprise guests,” says Hart. One of his “surprise guests”, comedic roast veteran Jeff Ross, calls out to Brady saying, “We’re coming for you, pretty boy!” We see Brady unaffected by the threat as he utters his infamous game call, “I’m un-roastable. Let’s go.” However, a change in tone was noticed when the GOAT re-shared the promotional video on platform X, attaching it with a shakey, “panic setting in.”

With only weeks to the show, fans and analysts alike are eagerly awaiting the roasting session. There is no word as yet of who Hart’s special guests are going to be, but one can safely assume that it will be a star-studded affair. This also marks Netflix’s first-ever live roast, since all the previous roasts were pre-filmed and edited before being aired, The streaming platform has been actively promoting live content over pre-filmed shows in the recent past and is looking to venture into weekly live shows from the upcoming year once it overtakes WWE Raw licensing.

Netflix’s annual “Netflix Is A Joke Fest” is set to take place from May 2 to 12 this year, promising an uproarious lineup of comedy events in Los Angeles. With over 300 live stand-up shows, special events, table reads, sketches, and more, comedy fans are in for a treat. Some of the biggest names in comedy, including Chris Rock, Ali Wong, John Mulaney, Chelsea Handler, and Jon Stewart, are expected to participate in the festival.

Interested individuals can get themselves tickets for as low as $89.50 on Ticketmaster. Featured shows include Dodgers Comedy Night hosted by Cedric The Entertainer, Late Night at The Hollywood Palladium hosted by Gabriel Iglesias, and Katt Williams: The Dark Matter Tour. With more than 35 venues hosting these hilarious events, it’s shaping up to be a laughter-filled extravaganza. As far as Brady’s roast is concerned, one must wait for the special hosts to appear for the roast before their identities are revealed. It is anticipated that a potential addition to the roast lineup could be Peyton Manning, a longtime rival of Brady’s and a veteran of the roast dais, having previously participated in Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe.
