If you tuned into First Take, post-SB LIX, expecting Dan Orlovsky to break down quarterback mechanics, you probably weren’t ready for what came next. “I’m taking a break, won’t be on TV for a long time… never know what the future holds… just want to say thank you,” he announced. But was this a shock? On the contrary, many of the fans, fandoms, per se, hate him for his signal-caller analysis. Guess they must be celebrating the moment. And then, there’s Pat McAfeeDoes he care? Absolutely not.

Instead, he zeroed in on something far more pressing: Dan’s accent. For reasons unknown, Dan decided to step onto The Pat McAfee Show, which, let’s be honest, is like bringing a notepad to a bar fight. But of all things, he decided to discuss the Chiefs’ offensive line. SHOCK?! “Offensive line just ruins their explosive plays,” he said. Except, thanks to his unique pronunciation, it sounded more like “runes.”

So, Pat? Oh, he wasn’t letting that slide. You say that word like an a**hole. You know that,” McAfee fired back. Bold. Direct. You’ve got to see this ruthlessness coming your way before accepting an invitation to appear on HIS show. Now, Dan, of course, tried to defend himself, but McAfee wasn’t having it.

First, he dragged Boston Connor into it, making him say “ruin” as a comparison. But then came the ultimate test: Say the day before today. “Yesterday,” Dan replied. Yeah, and that’s exactly what they were talking about. Orlovsky’s attempt at a Boston accent? Somewhere between tragic and hilarious.

Okay, now, we won’t give him a Pat treatment for it and move on. But I still can’t understand why he considered Jalen Hurts overrated. Remember when he said that the Eagles’ #1 wasn’t on the same level as Lamar, JB, or even Josh Allen? Yes, he did say that…

However, it wasn’t just that. He went on and on about it for the entirety of the season. Oh, don’t worry. Jalen did hurt Orlovsky, making him eat his words in real-time. He led the Eagles to a Super Bowl win, got named MVP, and basically made Orlovsky look like he was analyzing the wrong sport.

Meanwhile, Dan’s damage control? “I owe publicly Jalen Hurts an apology… All he’s done is have his two best games of the year on the two biggest stages,” he admitted. Well, that’s quite a way to sign off (even if it is temporarily so). Something you can never imagine Pat to do… Even after all that recent heat he has received.

Pat McAfee’s response to noise? Holiday!

Aaron Rodgers and The Pat McAfee Show are a staple, or have been a package deal since 2020. Every Tuesday, like clockwork, the four-time MVP would hop on, drop unfiltered takes, sprinkle in some conspiracy theories, and—if there was time—talk a little football.

But the New York Jets? They weren’t feeling it anymore under Aaron Glenn. They wanted Rodgers to lock in, ditch the media circuit, and commit fully to their program. No more McAfee. No more outside distractions. Just pure, uninterrupted football. Rodgers, being Rodgers, wasn’t about to let anyone dictate his schedule. The Jets reportedly told him to show up for every mandatory practice if he wanted to stay. That, plus the McAfee ban, plus the general dysfunction in New York? It was a wrap.

According to CBS Sports, the Jets officially moved on, cutting ties with the future Hall of Famer after just one disappointing season. We don’t talk about the first one, he played just 4 snaps. So, to make it look a little better: 2 years, 2 season. Better?

Now, Rodgers has options—pick a team or just hang it up… If none of that sounds a bit Rodgers-y then maybe go behind the mic, because why not? He has the ingredients to cook! Well, we’d see about that.

As for Pat? Oh, he had options on how to respond. A fiery monologue? A dramatic tell-all? Nah. Instead, the man posted a beachside snap with his wife, soaking up the sun, letting the noise pass him by. His Instagram story said it all: “We cheer, and we chill, cuz it’s what we need… We’ll be 1 with nature, but we might spark THE tea.”  Translation? He’s unfazed, as well as enjoying life. Oh, that’s gotta sting for the haters.

So, while Rodgers figures out his next move, McAfee is already onto his—relaxing and recharging while letting the memes do the talking.
