The 96th annual Academy Awards made headlines yesterday, not just because of the awardees, but because of one particular presenter. Superstar John Cena made a comical appearance at the 2024 award night, accompanied by none other than the iconic Jimmy Kimmel presenting the ‘Best Costume’ award.

In a daring choice of outfits, the wrestler-turned-actor grabbed attention with his ‘seemingly-nude’ approach. With light-hearted reactions surrounding the venue, Cena’s unconventional setup was also hailed by Shannon Sharpe during the latest episode of NightCap. While the audience at the Oscars was left in stitches, Sharpe’s discussion with Ocho resembled similar emotions. In a playful take, Shannon Sharpe emphasized, “The highlight of the night was John Cena, coming out there naked!”

Replying to his stance, Johnson added, “Yeah, I saw the clip on Twitter and Instagram”, questioning the reason behind it while Shanon explained it was for the costume designing nomination. 

Recalling Al Pacino presenting the awards for Oppenheimer, Sharpe noted the excitement in the air. The 55-year-old former tight-end was spotted narrating vivid details from the winning picture.

Robert Oppenheimer’s work, revolutionizing humankind in a bittersweet invention. In a candid take, Shannon Sharpe further revealed, “He was a brilliant man, he created this and then realized what he’s done.”

The hydrogen bomb they possess now is a thousand times more  powerful,” while adding, “So that lets you know what you’re dealing with.” Additionally, Shannon Sharpe mentioned a few details on Oppenheimer’s personal life, stating, “He wasn’t a very old man when he passed away, he died of cancer in 1967 at the age of 64.”
