Former legendary quarterback Alex Smith thinks the same. They have shown promise in certain areas of the game, and who would think that they can not rise to be one of the top teams?

Alex Smith has been watching the team’s matches this season but is extremely unsatisfied with how they are performing. The Commanders lost to the Philadelphia Eagles recently, and the legend thinks that the team could have done better against them and also against the Chicago Bears. Smith expressed his utter dissatisfaction in a discussion with ESPN.

Smith started to state his views with Jonathan Allen, the Defensive Tackle of the Commanders. The legend thinks that the young DT is quite skilled and young, and literally, he has been there with the Commanders his whole career. According to Alex Smith, “This is a really good young roster. Like, they are underperforming right now. You look at their last three weeks; the home blew out to the Bears.”

Smith thinks that the Commanders should have won that game against them because they performed so well offensively. But then again, there is always something wrong, and that is why the Commanders are not winning. Smith stated, “I also find it frustrating that they can’t get the ball to their best player. Terry McLaurin didn’t have a catch until the fourth quarter.
