Drew Bledsoe is not among those who believe in only work and no pay. The former NFL quarterback was aware that pay for the Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady would barely be anything as compared to Brady’s. The latter was handsomely rewarded for his participation, probably making up for his investment in FTX, the cryptocurrency giant. And his payout for the Netflix show has now been revealed!

After the event, it was shared that Tom Brady received almost $25 million for the roast, and he also received a diamond-studded ring worth $40,000. As per TMZ Sports, the former Patriots QB got the ring from actor Kevin Hart. “Tom, you deserve another f**king ring, but a ring fitting for a GOAT like yourself,” Hart stated while gifting the luxurious ring.

The piece of jewelry was designed by Jason Arashaben of Jason of Beverly Hills. It is set in yellow gold, weighing six carats, and contains about 400 diamonds, rubies, and sapphires. It depicts a gold football with red flames around it, which is made out of precious gems. Fitting for a football legend! Let’s not forget how he already has seven Super Bowl rings. And now an eighth jewel in his treasure chest.

The former quarterback’s last name is written in gold and so is the phrase G.R.O.A.T. Additionally, the year 2024 is engraved as well.

These earnings almost covered his $30 million loss with FTX. In the end, it appears Tom Brady has overcome last year’s challenging situation to achieve victory.

He had received $30 million of FTX stock from promoting the cryptocurrency company. They are now worthless. Even Gisele Bundchen had received $18 million in stock from them. Owing to this, Brady was also sued by FTX customers after the firm’s closure. Former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was charged with fraud.

But coming back to Tom Brady’s roast, Drew Bledsoe, another acclaimed participant in the show and the somewhat overlooked QB of the Patriots, insinuated the potential earnings of Brady while sitting in the spotlight. And let’s not forget how Bledsoe lost his job to Brady.

After a brutal injury that almost killed him, Bledsoe was out of the team, with a new signal caller taking the reins: Brady. The takeover was such that the former didn’t have a job when he was deemed fit to return to the gridiron. So, when he was asked to be part of the roast, he did not waste much time in deciding. But he also did not hesitate to compare his earnings to Brady’s for the Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.

Drew Bledsoe’s prediction turned true!

Tom, I’m really glad that you enjoyed all this amazing success with the team that I built. Super f–king happy for you, bud,” Bledsoe joked during the roast. While Bledsoe definitely qualified for having some of the best roasts of the night, the compensation he received for making an appearance in the evening was peanuts. During the Kaplan and Crew show, the hosts were curious to find out whether Bledsoe was “just paid as an actor?”

Yeah, we got paid a little bit,” Bledsoe answered, revealing that he didn’t make much for all the hilarious jokes he made and for the effort he put into them. What he revealed next was even bigger. “I know that it was probably a freaking fraction of what like Tom and Kevin made. But they threw a little cheddar our way,” Bledsoe jokingly said how they only got a little piece of the cake.

While the payment might be not per his expectations, Bledsoe was also not in a situation like Brady’s. He got to vent all his years of pent-up frustration for Tom Brady for the people to hear. Bledsoe was benched because Tom Brady was taking over as the star QB of the Patriots, one major reason why his football career came to a screeching halt. To top Bledsoe’s compensation for speaking his heart out, he got to travel on a private jet. So, just like Brady, a win is still a win for Bledsoe.
