Finally… We know why AB should see a psychologist, as per Tom Brady. Last week, out of nowhere, Antonio Brown shared some private DMs from his former quarterback and NFL Legend. In the leaked messages, TB12 was reminding Brown not to miss his psychologist appointments. “Love how you are working, please don’t miss your psychologist appointments. PHYSICAL – you have mastered and it is easy for you to work hard. MENTAL – you are very smart and you know the game. EMOTIONAL – we all need to work on this. We are all emotional beings. You need to work equally as hard here,” Brady said.

This raised many eyebrows, including that of the former WR. Brown took to his official X account and shared the screenshot of the messages with a caption – “Please don’t miss Psychologist appointments…. WTF.” Well, like Brown, we were all puzzled about why Tom Brady had such suggestions for him. But now we have the answer, as this week, Brady appeared in an episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast to reveal the reason.

Although Tom Brady was in the podcast to talk about his gigs and football life, he also revealed why he suggested that Antonio Brown should check with a psychologist. He said, “I mean, I wanted the best for him. I think I saw a spark in him. I thought if it was put in the right place, how incredible it could be for not just the team he was on, but for his life and what he could accomplish.” Boy, oh boy!

Recalling New England days, Brady said, “We picked him up at the Patriots, and he played one game. We released him Friday afternoon. And then there were just a lot of things that were happening in his life that he needed to focus on. And the team decided, the Patriots, said no, ‘we’re not dealing with this.’ The league had some issues, and then we ended up going to Tampa. Then he came back after a suspension in Tampa. And I just thought, okay, if I can help him, like I’d love to help him, because he’d help our team, it helps his life. Then, you know, I just again I always root for the best.” However, they share an old connection off the field as well.

So, yeah, there might be tensions between the two, especially because of Gisele Bündchen. After all, Brown had an alleged dirty take on Brady’s ex-wife, accusing her of cheating. But TB12 is still thinking best for his ex-receiver. But that doesn’t mean the alleged feud has ended.

Why is Tom Brady so concerned about Antonio Brown despite the hate?

We all know that Tom Brady and Antonio Brown’s relationship is sour. The two have been in the limelight, especially when Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, was thrown into the drama. After winning the Super Bowl in 2022, Brown got papped with the supermodel, where the two appeared hugging each other. This took a wild turn when Brown shared the snaps later, after the divorce of Brady and Bündchen, with a caption saying: “Just getting back at them.”

What’s your perspective on:

Did Tom Brady overstep by advising Antonio Brown on mental health, or was it genuine concern?

Have an interesting take?

In addition, Brown also later wrote: “Tom Brady tried to really hold me back when he found out his wife was on d—.All these create buzz on social media, indicating that the two aren’t having good relations with each other. Nevertheless, perhaps Brady doesn’t have that much bitterness in him, as he tried to suggest a psychologist’s help for Brown because of the reasons given above by him. But wait….there might be more to it.

During the third quarter of the 2022 season’s game, Antonio Brown did something no one saw coming. He stripped off his jersey, tossed his pads, and ran off the field mid-game. It was surprising. Some said he quit. Others claimed he was cut. Whatever the case, it was messy and emotional. And while most players stayed quiet, Tom Brady didn’t. He could’ve brushed it off like his coach did, but he didn’t take the easy way out. Instead, he spoke with his heart. He asked people to be kind, to see Antonio as more than a football player.

He talked about love, friendship, and showing up for someone even when they’re falling apart. Well, we understand because Tom Brady’s been around long enough to know the game doesn’t always end when the clock runs out. He’s seen the pain players carry – mental health struggles, loss of purpose, the silence after the stadiums go quiet. TB12 has seen three former teammates take their lives, too. Maybe that’s why his voice sounded different. He wasn’t just defending an ex-teammate. He was reaching out to a man who might be in real trouble, just like a friend who cared. And this caring is still on for him towards Brown!
