Tom Brady had a 20-year run with Bill Belichick playing for the New England Patriots. He was the talisman that Belichick wanted, and Brady delivered as per the expectations. However, recently on the “Let’s Go” podcast, the team invited a football legend who was the only one Belichick ‘liked.’

Well, there’s no spoiler alert, but it wasn’t Tom Brady who was liked. As revealed by Tom Brady, the player in question was a yesteryear linebacker who was the most adored and complete player in Belichick’s eyes.

Tom Brady discloses the player without any weakness

The NFL GOAT had one of his great moments while playing under Belichick. However, he has revealed that he wasn’t the most liked player by Belichick. He disclosed that Belichick would always find faults with all the other players, but legendary linebacker for the New York Giants, Lawrence Taylor, was the one player the Patriots’ HC couldn’t find faults with.

Brady said- “Me playing for Belichick for 20 years, you’re the only player that coach Belichick liked. Everyone had problems, you guys are good at this, not good at this. Brady, you’re good at this, not at this. LT is the only player who can’t have a weakness” remarked the NFL legend.

The chemistry and regard between Belichick and Brady led to several accolades for the Patriots. It was a partnership made in heaven and defined one of the most successful eras in Belichick’s coaching history. The duo shared mutual respect and admiration for each other!

Tom consistently performed at the highest level against competition which always made him the number one player to stop. His pursuit of excellence was inspirational.”
