Gisele Bündchen has broken her silence after several brutal jokes about her divorce from NFL legend Tom Brady and her relationship with jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente went viral. A source close to Bündchen told PEOPLE that the model is “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show.” It is said, “As always, [Bündchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.”

Jokes about Gisele leave a bad taste

Netflix’s bold decision to livestream the unedited Tom Brady roast has understandably disappointed Gisele Bündchen. The tone was set early on when Kevin Hart opened with a brutal dig about Brady’s exit from the Patriots, stating, “You sometimes got to f**k your coach… You know who else f**ked their coach? Gisele. She f**ked that karate man.” It was just a start for the “Gisele Bündchen jokes,” as Nikki Glaser continued it. She quipped that the “only thing dumber” than Brady agreeing to the roast was telling Gisele to do jiu-jitsu.

While jokes on her relationship with the jiu-jitsu trainer were on the move, former Patriots star Julian Edelman got it to the next level, calling Brady “Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend’s ex-husband.” Brady often looked uncomfortable throughout the Gisele-focused jokes, sipping his drink and smiling awkwardly. However, he closed the show with a roast of his own, saying, “There have been a lot of jokes tonight, but I miss the love of my life… football.” The entire roast was as tricky for Gisele as it was for Tom.
