When the GOAT speaks, you have to sit down and listen. His journey from just a backup QB, a 6th round pick (199th overall) in 2000 NFL Draft ended on the top of NFL mountain with 7 Super Bowls in 2023. Tom Brady became the face of NFL all-around the world. It also inspired the league to go international, across continents. Just last year, they organized the first ever NFL game in Brazil. This year, the Steelers will play an international game in Croke Park, Ireland. In his new avatar of a broadcaster, the GOAT is excited to fly.

He appeared on the May 9 episode of The Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty, where he talked about his long career and changing dynamics of the game. While talking about the first-ever game in Ireland, the legend said, “You’re going to see the greatest athletes in America battling and out. It’s American Football. There’s so many tactics to it, you don’t necessarily see just from the television...Hopefully that game will be on FOX and I can come over and broadcast it. That would be a dream come true.” That’s understandable.

Hard work and tenacity aren’t just a part of football, Tom Brady embodies these traits in his life. Last year, the league put a set of controversial rules in place after he became the co-owner of LV Raiders. However, his popularity knows no bounds. This isn’t the first time he will set foot in Europe.

As a co-owner of the English Football League (EFL) One team, Birmingham City F.C., he has been there a few teams. But the fans would like to hear him talk about the NFL stories. But he will also have to work on his skills if he really wants to be in the TV booth in Ireland.

Last year, the fans trolled him on social media. FOX replaced Greg Olsen with the GOAT. He is the only QB with seven Super Bowl rings, five Super Bowl MVPs, three league MVPs, and more wins than any other quarterback in NFL history. But his vocal skills were far from impressive.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Tom Brady conquer broadcasting like he did the NFL, or is this a different ballgame?

Tom Brady cannot repeat Super Bowl debacle

Even though he struggled from the start, FOX trusted him enough to feature him as a broadcaster with Kevin Burkhardt. Fans criticized him on social media. Even other analysts had some choice words for his ability to break down the game and ability to hook viewers to the TV screen with his charm.

FOX analyst Joe DeCamara was one of those. While talking on Sportsradio 94WIP with Jon Ritchie, he said, “He (Brady) did not highlight the phenomenal coverage by the Eagles’ secondary…He’s got to say the reason Mahomes can’t throw the ball in the first two seconds is no one is getting open on Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Darius Slay. And he never said it!”

However, his old friends rushed in his defense. Former Patriots TE, Rob Gronkowski, praised Tom Brady for not giving up despite criticism. Gronk said, “He has definitely improved since his first couple of games, which is understandable.” Moreover, he commended the GOAT for his resilience among such a high-pressure job. That’s his trademark!

The legend has enough time in the off-season to work on his game-breakdown skills. That can guarantee a spot on flight to Ireland.
