Tom Brady Shares Friend’s Disheartening Post on Athlete Sister’s Demise from Addiction

Tom Brady, the NFL legend, shares his support for his friend’s heartbreaking story about his sister. The former QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers himself has three elder sisters that he’s looked up to all his life. An NFL legend to the world, but little Tom to his sisters who have looked after him all his life.

Brady’s three sisters are Maureen, Julie, and Nancy, whom he loves more than anything in the world. Additionally, the fans affectionately call the sibling family the ‘Brady Bunch’. He’s conquered the sport of football with 7-Super Bowls to his name but at the end of the day, it’s his sisters he will cherish more than football. As such, when Scott Pioli talked about his athletic sister’s death, Brady had to come and voice his support.

On 5th February, Tom Brady took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to share his friend Scott Pioli’s heartbreaking story about his athlete sister Laura. His sister passed away tragically on January 18, 2023, because of an addiction and the former 7-time Super Bowl winner heartily resonated with the feeling of loving a sister.

Brady posted a tweet and wrote, “A powerful and important post from a great friend.” Pioli shared a brief look into his family’s history on LinkedIn, leaving all the fans leaving strong wishes for the NFL analyst. Women’s empowerment is a cause that is close to Pioli and Brady. Moreover, Brady and Bundchen founded the Luz Foundation in 2007 which aimed to support and give grants to young females. With all that said, here’s a look at the problems Brady used to face growing up with his sisters.

Brady shares an account from the past which talks about his issues with growing up with 3 sisters

A while back, Brady shared an essay he wrote in 1994 during high school that gave a deeper insight into Brady’s relationship with his 3 sisters. In the essay, he talked about how tough it was to live with his sisters since they would always get along well leaving Brady all by himself.

In his essay, Brady said, “The one and only thing that bothered me about my sisters’ accomplishments was that people only recognized me when my sisters were around.” Ironically, all three of his sisters were also gifted athletes who excelled in sports like softball, football, and basketball. Thus, it’s apparent they had an impact on Brady, and he eventually went on to become the best football player the world has ever seen. And now looking back, all the siblings can reminisce about their fine sporting careers at the dinner table.
