Week 3 is in the books, and Tom Brady just dropped his power rankings. Nobody’s ever doubted the guy’s football IQ, seriously, that’s not up for debate. But his Buccaneers bias? Yeah, it came through loud and clear. And now, even the GOAT himself is catching some heat for it online. Fans aren’t holding back.

This happened when Tom Brady put the Bucs in fourth place. Yes, fourth. “The Bucs move up a spot to number four. Let’s just pretend the last ten minutes didn’t happen. Because they looked great until then.” Now that’s where it gets interesting. The last ten minutes almost cost the Bucs the game. Ignoring them might be a little too difficult.

The Jets pulled off a wild comeback (almost) on Sunday, erasing a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit to take the lead with just two minutes left. But, of course, they couldn’t hold on. A late field goal sank them, and they dropped a gut-wrenching 29-27 loss. Fans were devastated. Understandably. For most of the game, it looked like the Bucs had it in the bag.

Then the Jets pulled off two late touchdowns to make it a nail-biter, and Will McDonald’s insane field goal block turned touchdown flipped the script. Suddenly, the Jets were on top. Ultimately, all of it added up to nothing as the Bucs came out with a 29-17 win. And almost bottling a big lead against arguably a really poor Jets, which sits at 0-3? Fourth in the power rankings is…weird.

And when you look at the teams they’re sandwiched between, it gets all the more frustrating. Brady put the Bucs down right between the 49ers (5th, still unbeaten) and the Chargers (3rd, arguably the best team in the league so far). The Bucs have a 3-0 record, sure. But they have not looked good. They had a one-point difference vs the Texans, a two-point difference against the Jets, and a three-point difference vs the Falcons. Each of these teams has had a slow start to the season.

And as much backlash as he got for his very biased power rankings, especially his top five teams, with some saying, ‘Go retire on a beach, your Mickey Mouse media run is over, ‘ similarly, fans turned it up a notch after his peculiar comment during the BearsCowboys matchup.

Tom Brady triggers all the animal lovers

Tom Brady inked a massive 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX as an analyst. Seeing him with a headset, breaking down the game he basically owns, isn’t exactly shocking. But something he said during the Bears-Cowboys game had fans scratching their heads. Well, now a lot of people are wondering if this whole analyst gig is really his thing. Yes, the former quarterback is catching heat. Big time.

This time, his comments were about George Pickens’ sideline outburst in the fourth quarter of Dallas’ 31-14 loss. What he said didn’t sit well at all, and animal lovers and activists were quick to call him out. It all happened when the Cowboys’ offense was stumbling again, and Pickens snapped as he banged his helmet to the ground. Brady remarked, “Those helmets can be. It’s like the dog at home. Kick the dog, throw the helmet. Whatever it takes.” Yes, that’s…bad, and many fans commented, “still can’t believe it.

Whether he meant it as a joke or not, Brady should’ve known this would stir up controversy. What makes it all the more concerning? Tom Brady is a dog owner himself. And he’s taken his dog to his gym sessions, too. He was obviously trying to come out as funny and didn’t mean anything by it. But the fans, unfortunately, nit-picked his words. Nevertheless, he’s yet to address the criticism.
