As a prolific advocate of environmental protection, the Brazilian model is heartbroken as she laments how the wildfires destroy in a day what nature takes to build for centuries. In 2019, she called out “opportunists” who target the “dry seasons to destroy and clear the forest“, adding about the importance of rainforests, “It’s doing so much work for us to keep us alive. I want to do something now before it’s too late.” If only the world saw through the supermodel’s perspective, preventive measures could have been more deployed.
