With the gift of a visionary, Tom Brady is sure about the scope of Las Vegas as a major sports capital as is seen in his interaction with CNN. Las Vegas is home to three major sports franchises – NFL Raiders, NHL Golden Knights, and WNBA Aces. The 46-year-old said, “This really is an incredible sports capital. When you think of 40 million visitors coming through Vegas every single year.” This being said, the retired football legend already became a part-owner of the WNBA Aces in 2023 and he’s pursuing the same for the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to Forbes, the Raiders are the sixth most valuable team in the NFL with a valuation of $6.2 billion. In May 2023, Tom Brady and owner Mark Davis agreed on letting the 3x NFL MVP purchase a minority stake in the Raiders, which was also done with the Aces under owner Davis. Even so, there is still no final conclusion as the deal is under review. Tom Brady will need to wait for a three-fourths majority vote from the league owners for the deal approval.
