Julian Edelman and Tom Brady‘s lives diverged since their time in New England, but their bond has withstood the years. Through their 11 seasons together, the two formed an unshakeable connection that has persisted despite problems they have encountered off the field.

In the most recent episode of the “Games with Names” podcast, Edelman invited another New England legend Matthew Slater and as they were talking, they made light of Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

While reviewing their Super Bowl LIII win, the NE WR made a joke about his strong relationship with Slater, saying, “If you noticed, Coach Belichick ain’t with his girl, Tommy ain’t with that girl, we’re together, baby, we are together still, here, still here.”

Notably, Bill Belichick and Linda Holliday called it quits on their 16 year relationship in 2023, while Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen separated in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. On the other hand, Slater and Edelman were roommates for 3 years and were very close during their time in NE, and still have a close bond.

In February 2023, Brady officially announced retiring “for good” from the NFL. He had previously taken a short hiatus before rejoining the Bucs for another season. The seven-time Super Bowl champion has since been looking into other options, and in 2024, he will begin a lucrative broadcasting contract with FOX Sports.
