Prime Time brings in a host of changes at the Colorado

Prime Time made his intentions clear with the side that came last on Pac-12 rankings. He was vocal about not only creating a team culture but also bringing a unity factor to the side. He stressed the same in his initial days at the Colorado. After the side could only manage one win in their 12 games, it was looking like an uphill task for the new HC.

Anyone who followed Sanders’s career closely must know that he loved challenges. He relished the challenge of making the CU Buffs a dominating unit after taking over last December. He forced out several players whom he inherited and called for an overhaul. As many as 53 new players entered in the incoming transfers. His moves were highly criticized, but Sanders had a long-term vision for his plans.

The near-perfect start to the season!

When was the last time an NCAA side won three games on the trot? Let alone any team, how about a team who could only manage one win last year to turn up a fresh year with a hat trick of victories? One of the wins coming off against a 17th-ranked TCU side. It was a massive statement from Prime Time as his processes and strategies bore fruits.

Colorado started off the new season in some style! Winning with a close win against the TCU. The side completely annihilated Nebraska with a scoreline that read 36-14 in the Buffaloes’ favor. Their confidence only got higher after the victory. Fueled by Coach Prime’s motivational words, they went on to win the Colorado Derby. This was how the fairytale journey of the side started. Before the mid-season hiccups came into the picture.

Deion Sanders manages a composed face amidst the defeats

While all the American diaspora celebrated the Buffs revival with the victories. Plenty of those turned up against the HC when the team suffered three defeats in the next four games. Sanders was crestfallen, hurt, felt at a loss for words, and even asked about the legitimacy of his players.

There were suggestions coming in from left, right, and center. Several fans and analysts turned up against the Colorado side and suddenly the HC was in the midst of a lonesome battle. Instead, he passed on a piece of solid advice to not listen to the outside noise. He regrouped his players and preached them about ignoring the social media chatter and carrying on with their work ethic. He drops another presentation masterstroke as his “hot garbage” statement is criticized by a reporter. Are the losses getting heavy on Sanders’ head? Is the lack of consistency forcing Prime Time to switch sides?
