Colin Kaepernick, the famed quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, was released by the team back in 2016 for taking a knee during the sensitive times of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement. Since then, he has been a strong advocate for racial injustice and even works as a social activist. Plus, with Nessa Diab as his teammate, the two are strong pillars in the fight against racism and will hopefully pass down these qualities to their newborn. Moreover, at a recent high-stakes tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, the fans were really tense about the outcome of the game. Diab was also stressed out during the game but for an entirely different reason.

Nessa Diab reveals the cause of her roof-shattering anxiety during the Rafael-Alcaraz match

In a latest Instagram post, Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab, had a date night while attending the tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. In one of the most anticipated tennis matches in a while, Alcaraz ended up taking the victory right from under Nadal’s nose. But while Diab seemed distracted in one of the photos she posted, the fans were happy to see the couple out and about even if their thoughts were with their baby back at home!

She captioned the post by writing, “I can NOT believe it. We enjoyed our Sunday few weeks ago and my anxiety raced through the roof being away from baby Kap. Sheesssh! Sending love to all the parents out there who go through it being away from their baby ❤️ Great time watching an amazing tennis match – The Netflix Slam between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.” Thus, it is evident that Diab, as a new mom can have the best of both worlds and will continue to be a guardian figure towards children all across the world when the pair release their upcoming book titled, ‘We Are Free, You & Me.’

Nessa Diab and Colin Kaepernick will be co-authoring their new book as newly-turned-parents

In January, Nessa Diab announced the couple’s shared plans to publish the picture book ‘We Are Free, You & Me’ in the US and Canada, which will hit the bookshelves in October 2024. The book will be a further extension of Nessa’s Know Your Rights Camp, which is a global movement that has inspired hundreds and thousands of young people to take pride in their capacities of goodness. Moreover, 100% of the proceeds generated from the book will directly go towards the movement, which is a commendable gesture indeed.

Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Diab stated in their book and wrote, “As parents, this project has been especially meaningful to us. The messages contained in We Are Free, You & Me represent what we aspire to affirm in our own child. The book celebrates a fictional family enjoying a day together in their loving community. We hope this book inspires young people to live in the light of their own strength, truth, and self-worth as they embark on their journey through life.” Thus, Kaepernick and Diab have proved that despite all the obstacles they’ve faced together, they continue to achieve great heights together and set greater examples for children worldwide through the direct policies of kindness.
