This lighthearted exchange wasn’t the only social media interaction sparked by the moment. Shannon Sharpe cheers on aces to victory

A packed T-Mobile Arena buzzed with over 20,000 fans for the clash between Aja Wilson’s LV Aces and Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. The crowd, many likely there to see Fever’s rising star Clark, witnessed a show-stopping performance from Wilson instead.

Wilson set the tone early with impressive shots, earning cheers from the crowd, including Sharpe himself. She continued to shine throughout, racking up 28 points, 9 rebounds, and an impressive 5 blocks. It seems Sharpe wasn’t just a vocal supporter; according to him, he even chatted with Wilson and her teammates before the game, hyping them up.

While Clark did her best to keep the Fever in the game, the Aces duo of Wilson and Kelsey Plum (who scored a strong 34 points in just under 40 minutes) proved to be too powerful for the young star. Thus, the Aces extended their winning streak to five games with a dominant 88-69 victory. Despite the loss for Clark’s team, the night wasn’t all bad and even Sharpe would agree to that!
