As the tournament is a few hours away, many fans show the lead quarterback with praises and best wishes. Along with an MLB team, the New York Mets also wished for Patrick Mahomes. If one does not know, the 27-year-old and the team’s relationship goes way back.

Mahomes is undoubtedly one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He also recently won an MVP award. However, football wasn’t the only sport that had his attention. 

Baseball was Patrick Mahomes’ first love

His interest in baseball arose because of his father’s professional career as a baseball player. Patrick Mahomes Sr. played baseball for eleven years. Because of that, Mahomes was also impressive at baseball.

Therefore, the Mets found the perfect and adorable picture of the Super Bowl-winning QB which they used to send best wishes to him. And when fans saw the cute and never-seen-before picture, they wrote heartwarming messages for him.

Fans wish their favorite quarterback ahead of the most important game

Pat Mahomes had always raved about his son’s athleticism. He has shared on numerous occasions that baby Mahomes loved to play catch with his father in the Shea Stadium.

In the picture, Mahomes is sporting a Mets jersey and is holding a bat as if he was going to hit the ball out of the ballpark.

Since the big game is only a few hours away, best wishes started pouring in.

From being an adolescent who practices with his dad to not making his way to his third Super Bowl appearance, he has come a long way. For now, he will definitely put all of his attention into winning the Super Bowl title and making himself and his fans proud.
