Cleveland salutes Travis Kelce and family with rare honor

Football season may be over but the MLB fever is just getting started. And it’s also an occasion for Cleveland to honor one of its natives who has made it big on the football field. The Cleveland Guardians announced that the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce will throw the ceremonial first pitch during the MLB outfit’s home opener against the Seattle Mariners on April 7.

Kelce will be there with his mother Donna, who recently saw both her sons battle it out for the Vince Lombardi trophy, becoming the first mother to have the honor. The TE is a big fan of the Cleveland baseball franchise and an opportunity to throw the first pitch in a home opener is too great for not being excited.

Kelce is a busy man these days. He regularly hosts the ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother and the Philadelphia Eagles captain Jason Kelce. He is everywhere this offseason. And for the music lovers in his fanbase, he is coming up with a special surprise.

Turning into a rockstar

Travis Kelce is already a rockstar on the football field. He also knows how to rile up a crowd, the Arrowhead Stadium witnessed it during and after the AFC championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals back in January. The Cincinnati mayor felt the greatest heat in that process. Now, Kelce is turning into a real rockstar.

Kelce will host a musical concert in Kansas City during the draft. The city is also playing host to the NFL teams for the 2023 draft that will start on April 28, the day of the Kelce Jam. Multiple performers will come into town for the event, including Machine Gun Kelly, Rick Ross and more.

With the upcoming draft celebration accompanied by music and thousands of fans, as well as the start of the MLB home opener in Cleveland, the TE will be facing a demanding schedule in just one month. It takes a lot of energy to handle all of this, and some might argue that only Kelce could do it justice
