Change the Game gives us an instance of  Colin’s childhood and the obstacles he faced throughout his sporting life. The novel beautifully illustrates the horrendous scenario of black and white about his own life. In one of the chapters, Colin mentioned Bo Jackson, who is one of the most versatile players in the sporting world. He captivated the world with his jaw-dropping performances in both the Baseball and Football realm.

Bo Jackson played for four seasons in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders. During these four years, he gave a stunning performance that is still the talk of the town. In his NFL career, he made four catches for 352 yards and even got a chance to play in a Pro Bowl. But this is not the end, he even showed his passion in his eight seasons span in the MLB.

The novel has a woman named Miss Attaway who appreciates Kaepernick’s for his skills and regards him as similar to Bo Jackson. She states. “Sure, But He’s Like Bo Jackson in baseball, Football, and basketball—the Boy Does it All!”

Colin showed his happiness towards those who let him feel good about himself, as he wrote, “And I started to notice that people who made me feel good about myself made me feel like I belonged. I want to maneuver toward those people.”
