D’Ernest Johnson set the FirstEnergy Stadium on fire after he led Cleveland Browns to a spectacular 17-14 victory against Denver Broncos on Thursday. His extraordinary display was widely appreciated by the coach, analysts, and other players, even of a different sport.

After the game, the NBA superstar LeBron James took to Twitter to appreciate the 25-year-old running back for his marvelous display. “D’ Ernest Johnson on 1 tonight!! Love to see it! #Browns,” LeBron tweeted.

The reporters at the post-game conference informed Johnson that his special night just became even more special as the ‘LeBron James’ has tweeted appreciating his spell. And the youngster himself couldn’t believe that the superstar tweeted about him. “LeBron? Man, that’s big-time,” Johnson exclaimed. “LeBron James, appreciate it, man. That means a lot.”

Talking about his special performance in the FirstEnergy Stadium, he said, “It felt great knowing that everyone believed in me… Coming out here and getting a win for the team means a lot… Being able to come out here and fight hard just go get this victory means a lot.”

D’Ernest Johnson claims the spotlight

With that extraordinary display, the 25-year-old proved that he possesses immense potential. And that he can also bring a lot to the Browns table.

“I could single out a bunch of guys, but D’Ernest Johnson to me is a warrior and a great teammate,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said. “What he has fought through in his career and then to go have a night like that and to end it how he did, I thought was just outstanding.”

The Cleveland Browns RB rushed for 146 yards in 22 carries averaging 6.6 yards per carrying and scoring a touchdown. And with that, the Keenum-Johnson duo looked deadly to the opposing side. Although with Johnson delivering like a magician in one game, it is to be seen if he lives up to the hype in his next game against the Steelers.
