The Mile High City is on cloud nine right now. 2x NBA MVP Nikola Jokić put on a masterclass as the Denver Nuggets clinched their maiden Larry O’Brien trophy in their 47-year franchise history. Understandably, the Denver cheers got louder and louder as the night went by. And beating Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heats 94-89 on their home court just added to the magical moment as the ecstatic Nuggets crowd raised the roofs through the Ball Arena. However, it wasn’t just the ones present in the arena, as celebrities from the NFL world joined in to congratulate the franchise.

The Denver Broncos franchise and players showed their love on social media. Their quarterback Russell Wilson, a proven lucky charm during this year’s playoff run for the Nuggets, sat courtside with his family. Even former POTUS, Barrack Obama, a known Chicago Bulls fanatic, couldn’t help but appreciate the postseason greatness from Jokić and Co.

The applause came harder for the Bill Russell Finals MVP Nikola Jokić, who added a ring to an already impressive resume. In fact, it got to a point where the Serbian maestro dropped some unpleasant reactions during the post-game press conference.

Things got a tad too overwhelming for Nikola Jokić

Denver isn’t the only area enjoying a spell of championships after the Avalanche’s NHL victory. Another area that has seen historic success in this past week is the nation of Serbia. With Novak Djokovic claiming a historic 23rd Grand Slam title in the French Open this week, it’s been a time of celebration for the European nation. Jokić and Djokovic share an especially close bond and the former was eagerly waiting for the Tennis titan’s message. However, when the Nuggets star checked his phone during the media meet, the sheer number of text messages simply overwhelmed Nikola Jokić. That’s when he dropped the F-Bomb.

I’m gonna see if he’s [Djokovic] texted me, no? I don’t know, I mean, oh f—,Jokić said as he checked his text messages. On being asked how many messages he received, the center said, “I don’t know, a lot; I’m gonna turn off the phone.
