Myles Garett is the latest in NFL stars picking up NBA stakes

NBA Insider for The Athletic, Shams Charania, broke the news on Instagram that 4x Pro Bowler has purchased a minority stake in the Cleveland Cavaliers. The size of the deal has not been disclosed to the public yet. The 27-year-old has also agreed to serve as the official Cavaliers brand ambassador. He can now use his NFL fame to popularise his NBA team.

This doesn’t come as a surprise since the Cleveland Browns player had attended several Cavaliers games recently. “As a leader on and off the field, Myles has become a Cleveland icon and shares in our organization’s commitment to being a transformative force for good across the region,” Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said. “We are honored to welcome this longtime friend of the team as our new partner and investor.”
