Patrick Mahomes was in the headlines all throughout the offseason after he bagged a new 10-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs. GM Brett Veach handed Mahomes a deal worth almost $500 million (including bonuses).

Mahomes’ new extension will see him stay in Missouri till 2031 at least; in addition, it made him the highest-earning quarterback in the NFL. The Texas-born athlete has repaid the faith shown in him by the Chiefs after starting the 2020 NFL campaign with a series of back-to-back wins.

Under Mahomes, the Chiefs are on a three-game winning streak. Their recent 20-34 win over Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens was a strong statement to rival teams.
