Who is Brian Davis?

With everything going on about the Commanders’ sale, the next question in anyone’s mind will be who exactly is Brian Davis? So here is a cursory look at the man who could be the next face of the Washington NFL franchise.

Davis holds an impressive resume when it comes to sports. He won the NCAA national college basketball championship twice in 1991 and 92 with the Duke Blue Devils. He went on to feature 68 times for Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. While his basketball career was short-lived, he isn’t a newcomer when it comes to owning a sports team. He was previously a minority owner in the MLS outfit DC United. And for the environmentally conscious fans, he has made his fortune in the renewable energy sector as a developer of green energy assets.

The sale of the franchise isn’t only up to Snyder though. It will require the support of at least 24 of the 32 NFL owners. But for a franchise valued at $5.6 billion by Forbes, nobody saw a $7 billion offer coming in. So, who will end up buying the Commanders?
