Back in 2016, over half a decade ago, Brady tried to do the unthinkable. He tried to convince Kevin Durant that Boston Celtics was the place to be in the NBA for Durant. Although it never materialised, Brady could have added yet another feather to his cap had he managed to pull it off.

Durant’s head was definitely turned when he heard Tom Brady was joining them. The former Bucs QB joined the meeting between Durant and the Celtics as they tried to convince the best free agent to join them. The appearance by then Patriots QB helped Celtics case as they were gunning to sign the Power forward.

Although Durant would end up joining the Golden State Warriors later in the year. He admits that Brady’s aura in the meeting played a crucial role in Boston Celtics attempt to woo him. The Celtics attempt will always linger as what could have been. As the PF would go on to win multiple awards and titles with the Warriors and has now moved on to the Phoenix Suns. And a couple of months ago, Durant was seen playing it out with another Legendary QB in the offseason.

Kevin Durant teamed up with Active QB for training

While the NFL gears up for the new season weeks away, many players are training individually with the time off. One such training session brought two greats of NBA and NFL together. With Durant training for his new adventure with the Suns, he was joined by Aaron Rodgers in his training session. The duo’s training session and picture on social media suggested an intense workout by them.

With Durant and Rodgers training together, it certainly gave the fans a morale boost. And since the new is season inching closer than ever. The star player of each roster with a sweaty training session alongside another legend will always attract confidence.

Whether Durant’s arrival would have changed the history? Maybe. But the decision made by Durant was one that prioritised basketball, and even Tom Brady couldn’t sway him.
