The Colorado Buffaloes are on a journey of redemption after the 2023 season and as per an analyst’s point of view, they will end up making a significant rise this year. Coach Prime’s team is working hard and fast despite losing a great fit like Cormani McClain.

Cormani McClain is a five-star recruit and the top-ranked cornerback in the nation in his school in 2023. The young talent only played 9 games in Colorado before announcing his decision to enter the transfer portal. Even though the Buffs’ lost a vital organ, Bruce Feldman believes the team can bounce back.

On the April 20th episode of the Herd with Colin Cowherd show, the host invited Bruce Feldman to discuss the impact of the transfer portal on college football. Later, they dissected the topic of Colorado losing 17 players to the transfer portal and showed massive faith in Coach Prime and his team by predicting a good run for them this year.

He said, “So you’ve had some people come and go. I suspect, especially with Shedeur there, they will go as they go into a new league from one win to four wins at least. I think eight. I think they will be you know significantly better. I don’t know how much better than eight. You’re going to see a lot of guys especially with grad transfers come and go.

He continued with “And I just think that people are looking for the right fit and sometimes people are constantly hitting the reset button like the kid on the video game who doesn’t like the start of it and then all of a sudden like, let me start that all over.” Thus, with Shedeur at the steering wheel and Deion Sanders as the engine, the Buffaloes could go a long way to the natty this year despite losing Cormani McClain. With all that said, here’s a look at what Deion had to say about the 5-star recruit’s departure.

Even though Deion is the sort of coach who wishes well for all players, regardless of whether they’re on his team or not, he seemed to drop a subtle undertone of angst in his message to McClain.

In an interview with DNVR, Sanders said, “I’m always in prayer for our young men, and I want the best for them. I pray to God that he goes to a program that challenges him, as well as hold him accountable, and develop him as a young man. Unfortunately, we weren’t the program that could accomplish that, so preferably he understands that this is the second go-round and get it — go get it man, because he has a tremendous amount of talent. But he has to want it.

Though Deion didn’t seem overly disappointed with any of the players who decided to leave the program, it does raise eyebrows on whether the team at Boulder will be able to make it to a championship or not.
