The better WR debate between Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers rages on and this time, it’s Shannon Sharpe choosing the clear winner. As the NFL Draft draws to a close with only 8 days away, the futures of both youngsters will be on the line in a clear-cut decision.

Marvin Harrison Jr., the WR for the Ohio State Buckeyes, is the son of Marvin Harrison Sr. He was the WR for the Indianapolis Colts for over 13 seasons in the NFL and made a mark as one of the best receivers in the history of the sport. And as his son goes against the likes of Malik Nabers, the WR for the LSU Tigers, it is evident that his father’s name will play a big factor in deciding his superiority, as per Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe added, “Marvin Harrison Jr is a little bigger receiver but I watch Malik Nabers, he can high point the football, he’s an explosive player and he has what they call, that ‘dog’ in him. I agree with you, the Bloodlines are too great to pass up. I know he’s been coached up really well by his dad and we know those receivers at Ohio State, how they come out and perform well in the NFL.” Thus, even though Sharpe has decided between the two, he still clarified that there’s not a lot of difference between the two talented youngsters and both of them might just have bright futures when they step into the NFL.

But while Sharpe has made his choice, here’s popular ESPN analyst Louis Riddick and his opinion on why Malik Nabers might be the better player.

Both Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers are competing for the top WR at this year’s NFL draft and the pendulum of who’s better continues to swing either way. While Marvin Harrison’s family name does account for a potentially amazing future in the NFL, Malik Nabers hasn’t lagged when it comes to exhibiting pure raw talent. This is exactly what Louis Riddick had to say in a recent statement.

Riddick said, “Nabers is just as capable of winning on short routes out of the slot with his smooth release, contested-catch strength, and ability to break tackles as he is when aligned outside and running the deep posts, sails and go routes. At 6-foot and 199 pounds, he can simply outrun corners in the deep part of the field and make the big plays that change games in the blink of an eye.” Thus, the analysts and experts continue to make their arguments but who do you think is the better wide receiver?
