Josh Pate lashes out at the Colorado program

On the May 4th episode of the Late Kick with Josh Pate, he talked about the many speculations regarding the Colorado Buffaloes’ future since several players have announced their exit from the beloved Coach Prime’s squad. Pate called out the credibility of the Colorado Buffaloes and said, “What do you think about Colorado’s program? I don’t think Colorado has a program. I think Colorado has an experiment currently underway in Boulder. Like that’s how I view them. The numbers are insane. Deion brought in 72 guys in the class of 2023, when you account for recruiting and portal. You got 85 scholarships, he brought in 72 guys in one cycle. Just a mindblowing unheard of number. 44 of them are gone a year later. That is 61% of the 72 he brought in.

With so many players complaining about the Buffs’ state and Deion’s coaching style, these new revelations won’t help the team’s redemption arc that the fans have been looking forward to since the beginning of this year. Xavier Smith, Cormani McClain, and Dylan Edwards were three of the more notable players whose exit has had the Buffs’ fans raising their eyebrows since they were pivotal to the team’s success. Thus, Deion will be faced with one of the most challenging coaching years of his career since there are a lot of hopes riding on the team’s shoulders, going into the 2024 season.
