After the dismissal of their defensive co-ordinator, USC Trojans QB Caleb Williams has another piece of information to share with his followers. This season has been harsh on both head coaches and assistants as another similar USC incident just took place. The latest trending news is of the firing of Ken Dorsey, who had served the Buffalo Bills as the quarterback coach before ascending his position as the team’s offensive coordinator in 2022.

Just as Caleb Williams and the Trojans suffered a sad fate under their former defensive coordinator, the Buffalo Bills are suffering a similar fate on the offensive front. So far, the Bills have only five wins out of ten games, standing 2nd in the AFC East. Following their second straight defeat in the hands of the Denver Broncos in the last game, head coach Sean McDermott fired Ken Dorsey and found his replacement.

In a recent IG story, Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Wiliams gives a shout-out to Bills quarterback coach Joe Brady as the team’s interim offensive coordinator. He posted, “Joe B Hell yeah.” The Buffalo Bills posted on their IG account the following declaration, “We have relieved Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey of his duties. Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady will serve as interim Offensive Coordinator.”

The announcement about Ken Dorsey’s dismissal and Joe Brady’s new position came after the Bills’ dismal 24-22 loss to the Broncos on Monday night. In the last game, the Bills turned the ball over four times with four drops. According to Sean McDermott, this decision concluded after discussing the team’s desire for increased energy and confidence.

What Makes the USC Trojans So Special to Hall of Famer O. J. Simpson?

Ken Dorsey came in as the Bills offensive coordinator to replace Brian Daboll, who went on to become the New York Giants head coach. But under his coaching, the Bills suffered 21% of drives resulting in a turnover since Week 5, leading to star QB Josh Allen bagging 14 turnovers and 11 interceptions. Sean McDermott said, “It’s not just off of two games or four games. It’s the entire season at this point.” But the head coach is hopeful about Joe Brady’s new role as the Bills offensive coordinator.

From a quarterback coach to interim offensive coordinator

Joe Brady served as the offensive coordinator at the Carolina Panthers from 2020-2021 before joining as a quarterback coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2022. Now, he’ll be taking on the position of interim offensive coordinator for the Bills. But the interesting thing here is that he was fired as offensive coordinator before the end of his second season with the Panthers under coach Matt Rhule, just like Ken Dorsey’s second-season dismissal.

But Joe Brady has the favor of a lot of players. Head coach Sean McDermott said, “Some of this is a projection and also want to see what (Brady) can do in this role. He has a close relationship with Josh as the quarterback coach, and we’ve talked… He’s got some ideas and we’ll see where it goes from here.” Just like Caleb Williams supporting Joe Brady, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow also took a firm stand supporting J. Brady. He states that he’s “awesome” and “very creative” and that he has nothing but love for him.

As far as the season is going, Joe Brady has served well as the quarterback coach for the Bills. Despite his doubtful past and given the support he has from star players like Caleb Williams, J. Brady will get a chance to prove himself when the Bills face the New York Jets on Sunday.
