Jeremy Sheetinger, often known for his master tactics in the realm of varsity baseball, extended his thoughts to Deion Sanders, coach to coach. Just being four seasons into the coaching business, safe to say that Sheetinger has learned a thing or two about the profession and, most importantly, the power of media. While he has managed the PR department pretty well himself, he cannot ignore the GOAT of it, Buffs head coach Deion Sanders.

While the fans had to go home disappointed after the games in the latter part of the season, Coach Prime did not disappoint the Boulder authorities. Phil DiStefano, CU Chancellor, agreed with this Prime effect Coach Prime had built in just under a year.I think since Coach Prime has come aboard to the campus, a lot of positive things have happened.” Proving DiStefano’s point further, Sheetinger went above and beyond to craft a special message for him.

The Georgia head coach is no stranger to haters. However, realizing the magnitude of criticism Deion Sanders was getting for the 4-8 score, Sheetinger was ready with his camera to rectify them all. To shun them at the very beginning, the Georgia head coach showed off his yellow-tinted reflective sunglasses, a Coach Prime classic. “That’s called elite branding,” explained he. Deion Sanders had a wholesomely heartwarming reaction, a sweet “Love ya man”

Sheetinger also spoke about the real problem, according to him, that people across the world are having: insecurity. “We see someone walking confidently, acting confidently, speaking confidently. We have our issues. So we detract from, we throw darts and we shoot arrows and we try to knock down that confident person because it defends our spies,” asserted Sheetinger. While many might have strong arguments against this, hardly anyone would defer from the next statement he made. “That dude’s got something figured out.” Sure enough, looking at the Buffs’ popularity.

Sanders turned the Buffs into a brand

No doubt that Deion Sanders not only turned himself but his team into a brand. For instance, during the season, the average price of the Buffs tickets was the highest. Not to mention the number of times they have been sold out. Their game against CU had 9.6 million users. As per Daily Camera, the university sold 22,457 season tickets, excluding the 11,600 student sports passes, totaling an approximate revenue of $1.9 million.

So much so, that as per The Denver Post, ‘Coach Prime pays for himself’. As per the contract, Sanders is liable to receive $29.5 million, a 5-year contract. Compared to the revenue he generated, it becomes logical to say so.
