With Caleb Williams off to the NFL as the Bears’ quarterback, a question mark hangs over USC’s quarterback position. The Trojans’ head coach, Lincoln Riley, hasn’t named a starter yet, but whispers suggest Miller Moss will take the reins from Williams. Moss has patiently waited three seasons, refusing to transfer in the belief his talent and dedication would earn him the starting job of signal caller. Now, amidst this hopeful wait, Miller Moss faces a loss.

Moss is mourning the loss of Tim Kight, the architect of the E+R=O “Discipline System.” He was likely a major influence on Miller Moss’ success, and his absence will undoubtedly be felt.

Replacing Caleb Williams is no small feat for any quarterback. As USC’s new starting QB, Miller Moss faces intense media scrutiny and high expectations. In his fourth year with USC, Moss has seen limited action on the field. As a Trojans freshman, he played in only two games. Soon, in 2022, Williams’ surprise arrival and his Heisman-winning season kept Moss on the sidelines for longer than expected.

He’s played in 12 games with 9 touchdowns and 914 passing yards. These stats might not seem impressive for a player stepping into such a big role, but Moss hasn’t had many chances to shine yet. Now it’s time for him to recall his mentor’s teachings that “outcome” depends on how you respond to challenges (E+R=O). Thus, it’s time for Moss to seize every opportunity and give his all to the field. In the comments below, let us know your thoughts on Moss’ new journey.
