Should we mix college football and politics? After his successful run in college football, Nick Saban has lucrative political avenues open. At least that’s what some people think, and it was just last month that the presidential buzz around the retired Alabama Crimson Tide blew the internet.

His seven national championships and 10 conference titles during his two-decade-long CFB coaching career earned him credibility and expectations. Some people are convinced he’ll make a great politician, as sports personality Jake Crain declared on X on June 28, “Nick Saban could become president.” Now, it looks like things are truly escalating for Saban on a political level.

Following this report, college football fans have a flurry of responses, with one fan embracing the possibility of Saban earning the Vice President title, saying, “‘VP Saban’ lowkey got a nice ring to it.” While we can’t deny it has a nice ring, Nick Saban hasn’t commented. However, how he handled college football as the head coach for 26 years with wisdom and success means there’s a good chance of him thriving in politics. However, as the CFB world drops its opinions on this report, it’s all speculation.

CFB world’s take on Nick Saban as Harris’ potential running mate

One person on X voiced most people’s thoughts on the report. They commented, This is WILD,” followed by three laughing with tears emojis. Is seeing Saban as a major political figure a realistic scenario?

That takes us to the comment of another person who wholeheartedly believes in the retired CFB coach’s capability. This person wrote, “What can’t my goat do[?]” Saban has already proven himself an outstanding leader on and off the field

In case this turns into a real scenario, hope still runs high. Another X user said, “If this happens, the state of Alabama will implode.” Alabama is very proud to have Nick Saban as a leader, and there would be days of celebrations if it happened.

Another fan chimed in with a joke about whether Saban would become president. They said, “He would move the white house to Tuscaloosa Alabama.” That’s where his Crimson Tide would be waiting with open arms!

But let’s not get too far away from reality. While it’s still an exciting topic, one person brought everyone back to reality with the comment, “Can y’all just stick to college football and NOT politics! Thank you!” In times like this, speculation can rise so high that it blinds reality, but all we can do now is wait for things to unfold.
