Chandler Dorrell joined Colorado in 2020 as the Director of Player Personnel. After Deion Sanders arrived in 2022, he served as the Buffs’ Assistant Director of Player Personnel. This offseason, he assisted in putting together the top overall class among the future Big 12 programs. And while Colorado continues to receive applications, his recent announcement showed that he’ll no longer be part of the program.

Chandler Dorrell has announced his decision to leave the program. He wrote on X, “As my time at CU is approaching, I am thankful to have been able to serve this University for the past 4 years… Thank you to Coach Prime and his staff for allowing me the opportunity to showcase my value through my work… Thank you Colorado! Coach Prime instilled the Prime Effect in Boulder, leading to a program-record surge in applications with a 20% increase from last year. The numbers stand at 68,000 applications for the fall of 2024. His cultural impact in Colorado is noticeable; among these applications, 50.5% are from Black and African American students.
