It was a rollercoaster ride for the Michigan Wolverines in 2023. They had an undefeated 15-0 winning streak and managed to hoist the national championship but also had to see their HC Jim Harbaugh being suspended over conducting an illegal sign-stealing operation. OSU has faced Michigan in the past 3 times, and all the games have been won by the men in maize and yet, they aren’t receiving their flowers from the fans who constantly term them as “cheaters.”

Sherrone Moore’s team gets branded as cheaters

On 8th June, the official page for all things related to Michigan sports, Blue By 90, posted a tweet that highlighted the winning streak of the Wolverines against the Buckeyes. Additionally, they also claimed that the team under Sherrone Moore is guaranteed to be a lot more “physical” since the players play the 11-on-11 situations a lot more.

Though the tweet stated nothing but the harsh reality, the OSU fans didn’t take it too well and lashed out against the Wolverines. A fan of the Buckeyes wrote, “Cheaters” in an attempt to tarnish the undefeated 3-0 streak that the Wolverines hold so highly against Ohio. The 2023 controversy isn’t leaving the gates of Ann Arbor any time soon since more and more fans keep knocking on their door to remind them of their illicit activities.

The fans pile on with the slander against Michigan

It’s almost unfair for Moore to be burdened by the controversies that Harbaugh committed but then again, the college football fans aren’t really known for their mercy. The Wolverines and the Buckeyes are two of the fondest rivals in the league, but it doesn’t seem to look like Michigan is getting any sympathy after the curtain was drawn on the truth.

This fan wrote, “I agree, Ryan Day has turned us soft, but yall just want to ignore you started beating OSU right when yall started cheating.” Even though he acknowledged OSU’s mistakes, the common opinion of Michigan are cheaters remains.

Next, this user called out the two years of Harbaugh’s term, in which they beat Ohio twice, and alleged that the Wolverines knew every OSU play since they indulged in sign-stealing. His comment read, “They beat them twice because they knew every play call

Another fan pointed out the flaw in Michigan’s perfect 3-0 score and pointed out the illegal scouting that Harbaugh did and said, “If that were the case, why did staff members illegally scout teams in advance?

Lastly, this fan accompanied a Scooby-Doo GIF with his opinion and brought to light the cheating controversies yet again. The comment read, “You left out cheating! 8 months into your investigation with no end in sight.”

The respect and admiration that Michigan is searching for is long overdue and with Moore in charge now, this will be the Wolverines’ chance at redemption and possibly winning against OSU once and for all, to beat off any doubts in their game.
