Back in 1994, Deion released several singles, but his rapping career never quite took off. The OG Must Be the Money even got some mixed reviews, leading many to believe his musical aspirations were over.  However, passion never fades! A true inspiration, Deion reignited his musical fire with Snoop Dogg and gave his rapper son, Deion Sanders Jr., a chance to shine on the track.

“He already wrote something,” Deion declared, hinting at another unreleased track from Bucky. Snoop, ever the collaborator, asked Bucky for some beats. Deion playfully mentioned Bucky as a “home rapper,” and Bucky added, “Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. I ain’t took my talents too, unless I want my brothers.”

Then the head coach motivated him, saying, “I know him come on,” and Deion Jr. shared a glimpse of his rap lyrics, likely part of the new remix, in front of the legends. It looks like the “home rapper” is finally getting his chance to step onto some bigger stage.

Deion Sanders Jr’s rap career takes a prime turn

Music runs deep in the Sanders family, and Deion Sanders Jr. (aka Bucky) is proving himself a worthy heir.  While his half-brother Shedeur’s single “Perfect Timing” received mixed reviews, Bucky’s full video song “IGGY” quickly exploded online. Fans loved his rapping style and catchy tunes, though some joked about the video’s simplicity.  Bucky even responded to those, stating, “I just don’t really care about rapping so I just shoot vlog-style music videos.”

Now, it seems Deion Sanders Jr.’s carefree passion has earned him some spotlight, even a stage alongside his dad and Snoop Dogg in the music video. The official release of “Must Be the Money 24” is eagerly awaited by fans, who are excited to see if his presence is confirmed. If included, it’s sure to spark a wave of excitement in Boulder and beyond.
