Not every Sanders member started on the good side with the CU Boulder police. For one, Shedeur Sanders and Deion Sanders Jr. have bitter memories of their cars being booted by the cops. While it first happened in early November 2023, the persistent issue has led to a recent statement of disapproval from Bucky who called the police “the biggest lowlight.”

Despite his sons’ rocky past with the police force, Coach Prime holds no grudge towards the law. His presence in Boulder has inspired a lot of people, including the cops whom he influenced with his fashion statement. As gratitude for their unwavering support and service, Deion Sanders made a too good to refuse offer to the entire staff.

As per a tweet by Coach Prime on July 9, he put gratitude on top of gratitude by making a wholesome offer to the CU Boulder Police. After the police department tagged him and credited him for his influence over their new Cowboys Hat, the Buffs HC posted, “I need a Official Police Cowboy Hat! I can supply your entire staff Cowboy Hats if needed. Let me know.”

This truly is a huge act of generosity on Coach Prime’s part despite his sons’ rocky relationship with the police. Known for his indelible fashion sense as seen in his Nike shoe designs and his classy, branded apparel, Coach Prime might go over the top to produce some of the best designs if the police staff agrees to his proposal.

Could it be some kind of amends that he’s making to the police after his sons’ displeasure with the cops?

Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr.’s rough history with CU police

Last November, Shedeur Sanders found himself in trouble with the police because he parked his Rolls-Royce near the Champion Center lot. The CU parking police booted his car and gave him a ticket along with a wheel clamp. But he isn’t the only one to receive this kind of treatment as Deion Sanders Jr., several other players, and even Coach Prime were ticketed for wrong parking.

Fast forward to June 2024, Deion Sanders still holds grudges as he shared his disillusionment, saying that the police force booted a truck despite being parked in a relatively empty lot. Sharing his frustration on IG, he wrote, “You really have to be the biggest bomb. The biggest lowlight.” But putting these parking issues aside, Coach Prime’s generous motive is truly commendable. Officer Simon already looks smart and chic in his new cowboy hat during his patrol.

We can’t wait to see more ‘hatted’ cops patrolling Colorado!
