Travis Huntеr holds a special place in Coach Primе‘s heart—not just for his rеmarkablе skills on thе field. Whеthеr it is his еfficiеncy on both sidеs of the ball, or his humblе dеmеanor, or еvеn thеir sharеd fishing advеnturеs, the two-way star of Colorado is akin to a son to Dеion Sandеrs. As Huntеr’s coach, Sandеrs not only mеntors him on thе fiеld but also activеly еngagеs in his off-fiеld vеnturеs, oftеn chiming in with humorous or supportivе commеnts onlinе. Such was thе casе in Huntеr’s rеcеnt collaborativе post, whеrе thеir bond shonе through oncе again.

Taking to Instagram on April 30th, Hunter uploaded a surprising collaborative post, featuring his portrait, painted by a local Colorado artist, namely Kyan Patel. The stunning artwork depicts an iconic on-field still moment of Hunter from the Buffaloes’ last season, following their triumph against TCU. As Patel shared a series of images capturing the moment of gifting the portrait to Hunter, Deion Sanders couldn’t help but express his admiration. Commenting on the post with a succinct “nice,”  Coach Prime conveyed his appreciation for Patel’s remarkable artwork.

Despite being a relatively small-scale artist, Patel has garnered recognition for his exceptional portraits of college football and NFL athletes, including WR Isaiah Bond of the Texas Longhorns and CB Tre Tomilson of the LA Rams. Patel painted Hunter donning the Buffaloes’ distinctive white and gold jersey, capturing the essence of his on-field triumph. Patel’s attention to detail extended to incorporate a subtle touch of Buffaloes’ gold in the background, enhancing the overall allure of the piece.

Hunter expressed his gratitude and took to the comment section of the collaborative post, acknowledging the portrait with two appreciative comments: “the hardest fasho,” and “preciate brudda 🔥.” It’s no surprise that Deion Sanders had to commend the portrait of Hunter, given his status as the star Buffalo boy excelling on both sides of the ball.
