We have now,” and it looks like Coach Prime is planning on grabbing this moment and giving his team one final push. With the influx of new players into the team through the early transfer portal, Deion Sanders was spotted making major changes to the overall team lineup. The biggest issue that plagued the Buffs back in 2023 was the overreliance on Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders to carry the team. While Hunter was spotted exhausted during every match, Shedeur had a hard time surviving in the pocket and became the most sacked QB in 2023. Coach Prime would not be making the same mistake again.

Out of all the methods Deion has made use of to get his O-line revamped, looks like Coach Flea has revealed the biggest one of them all. In a video posted to X by SkoBuffs on July 29th, we can spot Flea talking about the team’s plans for this season. “We’re going to run the football,” Flea mentioned in the interview. Running the ball sounds familiar, huh? Well, the legend Jim Harbaugh was the one who made it such a big deal. Between 2011 to 2014, Harbaugh was the one who stormed into the NFL with his offensive strategy that focused more on running the ball. Harbaugh’s philosophy is simple, “The offensive line doesn’t need any other position group to be good, but every other position group relies on the offensive line to be good.” Something he had told CBS Sports. Looks like Deion is fully prepped to adapt this to his team as well.

The run-heavy strategy would work perfectly for the team for multiple reasons. Shedeur Sanders has noted an incredible increase in his accuracy and that kid is already amazing at driving the ball downfield. The only area he lacks majorly is the defenses. If he gets the proper support from the O-line, the young QB can be a surprising playmaker on the field. NFL analyst, Daniel Jeremiah, put it perfectly in his report, “His toughness is another quality that jumps off the screen.” Shedeur’s innate strength is something that would catch many off-guard and this would work like a charm with the run-heavy strat. This season would be crucial for the Buffs cause the drafts are just around the corner.

2025 NFL drafts

If you wanna be the No.1 projected draft pick, then you gotta show your skills. The 2024 season will be the final stage for Shedeur Sanders or Travis Hunter to go all out. This would end up marking which team picks the talented players up. While there are major speculations that both kids would end up heading to the Raiders, nothing is confirmed yet. Jordan Reid from ESPN had predicted that both players would not leave the West Coast. As per Reid’s mock draft list, Hunter was best suited for the Seahawks, while Shedeur would be the top pick for the Raiders.

Regardless of what happens, only time will tell how the 2024 and 2025 NFL draft works out for the Buffs.
