Recruitment battles are now taking center stage as the 2024 NCAA season comes in ascension. For the coaches and management, this is the time when opportunities are aplenty to strengthen their teams even more. Like all other teams, the Buffs are also busy recruiting right now. But for Deion Sanders and his men, there have been a couple of setbacks as well.

Colorado offensive lineman Van Wells hit the transfer portal on December 2nd. He released a statement before entering the transfer portal, saying, “I appreciate all the love and support I received these past 2 years from the CU staff and most importantly the CU fanbase. The relationships I’ve built here will always be cherished. Thank you for the brotherhood we created and you guys will truly be missed.”

The Trent Bray era is in full swing and we’ve already seen glimpses of things about to come! Wells was a 3-star recruit and could serve the Beavers and Trent Bray very well in the upcoming season. The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Wells played 10 games for Buffs the last season. Buffaloes are already struggling with finding the right set of individuals for their offenses and the absence of a center creates more challenges.
