Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have an exciting upcoming event that’s stealing the interest of many fans. The Arrow Electronics Black and Gold Spring football game is nearly here, and it’s not just the game that’s a source of anticipation. Instead, it’s the multi-day extravaganza that includes a post-game concert with rap idol Lil Wayne.

Deion Sanders and Lil Wayne share a mutual respect and appreciation for each other, so it’s no wonder why the Lollipop rapper is coming to Boulder this spring. And as the festivities’ spirits soar high among the Buffs, even Shedeur Sanders goes with the vibe as he reveals an intriguing teaser at the upcoming concert.

Shedeur Sanders wants to perform during Lil Wayne’s concert

In a recent Well Off Media YouTube post, Deion Sanders Jr. coaxed Shedeur Sanders’ performance at Lil Wayne’s concert, saying he would perform if his younger brother performed. The Buffs QB replied, “I’m performing. I just can’t be one hit wonder up there, though.” He added, “I can’t only have one song and get off stage.”

Deion Sanders Jr., who’s been releasing music since 2020, then asked his brother’s preference for performing at the talent show or the concert. Shedeur Sanders said crudely, “Concert. I ain’t doing on a talent show… Why would I just perform my song at talent show? Do you see me at that? My music ain’t good enough to be at least this open-up show?” The 22-year-old already has a song under his name, “Perfect Timing.” Is he planning to sing that along with other additions at “The Show” presented by Outback?

Lil Wayne’s scheduled concert is the first time Colorado will witness a major artist performing as part of the spring game. The 5x Grammy Award winner is known for hit singles like Go DJ, Right Above It, and A Milli, among others. He’ll be a sensation amidst the Black and Gold weekend, featuring a talent show and alums reunion.

Coach Prime has brought Lil Wayne to Colorado multiple times, including when he was first hired as the Buffs HC. He then got the rapper to campus to discuss renovation plans. Last September, Wayne was present at the Buffs game against CSU as part of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff show, where Deion Sanders presented him with a custom Buffs jersey. The spring game will kick off on April 27, with the extravaganza beginning on April 25.
