As the Prime Weekend Lil Wayne concert rumors continue to surf through the internet, Deion Sanders received quite a backlash despite dispelling the falsity of the news. It was reported that Deion Sanders allegedly forced the Buffs players to attend the Lil Wayne concert which was opened by Shedeur Sanders to “support Shedeur as a rapper.” But not everyone is swaying with the wind.

Following this incident, CU Buffs long snapper and governor Camden Dempsey gave his verdict. Whether it’s because of Coach Prime’s helpfulness when he gave advice to the Buffs governor ahead of the annual CUSPYs event or if it’s his praise and support for him when he made the State of the Program address on June 1, we don’t know. But Dempsey is strong on Coach Prime’s side.

Camden Dempsey lauds Coach Prime’s leadership

According to an X post, when Camden Dempsey appeared on the Folsom Frenzy Podcast, he lauded Coach Prime’s equal support for each player on the team. He said, “At the core of it he is an amazing father and he cares about every guy on the team as if they’re his kid… He is always willing, on the personal side at least, to go out of his way to connect you with people that he knows to try and help you in his career.”

Dempsey also gave his opinion based on his personal experience with Deion Sanders. He said, “Personally, I absolutely love him. He’s been amazing on just helping me look at my personal life and how I can change that to kind of emulate him.”

When Dempsey was lost about what he would wear for the CUSPY’s event, he came to Deion Sanders who suggested a black fitted coat with a golden or white sweatshirt underneath and black pants. Coach Prime has been super supportive of Dempsey and even lauded him with the words – “Love ya man and so Darn Proud if u!!!” when he enlightened fans about the Buffs’ goals. And this isn’t the first time the Buffs governor has taken his platform to dispel Colorado rumors.

Camden Dempsey is cleaning the mess behind Colorado rumors

Previously, Deion Sanders received backlash from the public with allegations that he cussed a player out. In response to the criticism, Camden Dempsey denied witnessing anything of that sort. He shared, “Our guys are meshing very well, players are getting to know one another, the new guys are really beginning to bring their own selves and their personality into our program.”

On another occasion, when rumors about Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter beef came up regarding being on the cover of the EA Sports College Football 25, Dempsey swooped in again. He said, “Their bond is so strong that any beef that you’ve heard between any of the guys in the locker room is just non-existent.” With a smart speaking piece like Camden Dempsey as the team’s governor, Coach Prime can rest assured that the narrative of his team is on the right track.
