The WR for the Trojans might be choosing to continue his father’s legacy rather than pursue his dreams. Brendan Rice is the son of the legendary Jerry Rice, who is a Hall of Famer and won 3 Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers. This is probably why the name of Rice will weigh heavily on Brendan as he tries to decide between his dreams and making his daddy proud.

Brendan Rice proved that he was indeed his father’s son during his time with the Trojans. He is excellent at the line of scrimmage and completed over 12 touchdowns in the past 2023 season. Now that he’s announced his decision to declare for the Draft, he will be faced with the dilemma of choosing a team. The scales seem to be pointing opposite from his dream team, as it was recently reported that Brenden met with the 49ers at the NFL Combine.

At the recently held NFL Combine, Brendan was seen meeting the 49ers as a potential signing in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. While this will mean good news for the 49ers fans, to see another Rice try to win Super Bowls for the team, Brendan has earlier talked about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers being his dream destination.

In an earlier interview, Brendan was talking about what it would be like to be a part of the Buccaneers and this is what he said: “It would be crazy. Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, I’m going into a situation I know I’m going to be able to learn and just go ahead and take any information. That’s what I really want from a team.” But now with the 49ers meeting with the WR, it seems like the heavy words of his father’s former team might sway him away.
