The Goldenboy of Michigan impresses all at the NFL Combine with a remarkable showcase of strength. Blake Corum was one of the 18 Wolverine players to be invited to the Combine and didn’t disappoint at all. He’s one of the most sought-after players from the past season and will ensure a fantastic season for himself in the upcoming Draft.

Blake Corum, the running back for the Michigan Wolverines, led the team to great glory in 2023. Without his presence, the Wolverines might’ve never been on an undefeated 15-0 winning streak, let alone win the championship. He made a name for himself when he broke the all-time record for rushing touchdowns with a staggering total of 58. Now that the Combine is only 51 days away, Jim Harbaugh’s prized jewel managed to blow fans away by defeating Joe Alt’s record at bench press reps.

In a recent report, it was revealed that Blake Corum, who is comparatively smaller, ended up equalizing Joe Alt’s bench press reps at the NFL Combine. Corum, who is 205lbs compared to Alt’s 321, managed to shock the scouts at the Combine with 27 reps.

Even though this was an impressive feat, no doubt, the fans were quick to point out the differences in the arm size of the two players. Alt’s arm size is 34 inches, longer than Corum whose arm measures 28 inches. Additionally, a longer arm requires more work to lift the same weight scientifically, which would mean that Corum has an advantage over the Notre Dame OT. While he has made a good impact at the combine, here’s a look at what he has to say about his mentality, heading to the NFL.

Corum talks about his hustler mentality ahead of the NFL Draft

The Michigan franchise RB was named to the All-Big Ten first team for a second consecutive season. Moreover, he has also been known as quite the philanthropist off the field. Back in 2023, Corum raised a fundraiser for underprivileged children and handed out food to the needy on Thanksgiving. He’s got to be given his fair share of flowers for the kind of sportsman he is.

Thus, when asked about his mentality, Corum had a befitting reply. He said, “Growing up where I grew up taught me about hard work, tenacity, go and get it. Hustler mindset, blue-collar mindset, whatever you have to do, the job has to get done. Whether that’s staying up late or getting up early, the job has to get done, so that’s the type of mindset it gave me.” It is evident that Corum will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL and the fans can’t wait to see what he does next.
